A collaborative Comparative Literature and Cinema Studies Graduate Conference on exit signs and signs of exit. What propels this year’s conference, ultimately, is a desire to critically articulate the triangulation of hope, nihilism, and utopia in their kaleidoscopic encounters. We take these three signs of exit as our shared point of departure into unknown terrains to which the critical imagination of signs of exit can point.
All are welcome to attend this interdisciplinary conference from March 14-16th at the University of Toronto!

We wish to acknowledge this land on which this conference operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
